World Sustainable Built Environment Conference 2024
Join this virtual conference on 12-14 June 2024.
With an overarching theme "Innovation Pathways & Partnerships for Sustainable Built and Urban Environments", WSBE24 is the culmination of a three-year series of nine regional conferences spanning ten cities and countries. This global event provides a unique opportunity to learn, connect, and collaborate on critical issues facing our built and urban environments.
As it is a virtual conference, no travel is involved. This helps to broaden access and participation whilst radically reducing delegates' carbon footprint.

COP30 Report
Matti Kuittinen (Aalto University) reflects on his experience of attending the 2025 UN Conference of the Parties in Belém, Brazil. The roadmaps and commitments failed to deliver the objectives of the 2025 Paris Agreement. However, 2 countries - Japan and Senegal - announced they are creating roadmaps to decarbonise their buildings. An international group of government ministers put housing on the agenda - specifying the need for reduced carbon and energy use along with affordability, quality and climate resilience.
